Body
WHEREAS, Celestine I. Williams has been named as the new Audit Procedures Analyst/Risk Manager for the County, effective October 24, 2011; and,

WHEREAS, Celestine has served the County as the Director of the Housing Resources Commission and as the Legislative Aide to County Legislator Bishop James D. Tindall since 2007; and,

WHEREAS, in her position with the Housing Resources Commission, Celestine has overseen the grant and distribution of over $800,000.00 to provide homelessness assistance to citizens of Jackson County; and,

WHEREAS, Celestine volunteered to serve on and was instrumental in the oversight and development of the Constructing Futures initiative, which provides rehabilitated homes for persons in need in our community; and,

WHEREAS, Celestine comes to her new position with an extensive background and knowledge of accounting and finance; and,

WHEREAS, Celestine earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting and a masters of business administrative from Park University in Parkville, Missouri; and,

WHEREAS, prior to coming to the County, Celestine worked as an auditor and consultant for Edward D. Wallace, CPA and is the former chief financial officer and general manager for WCSS, Inc.; and,

WHEREAS, Celestine has been a valuable asset to the Legislature and her co-workers will miss her dedication to fighting for housing assistance issues in our community; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby recognizes Celestine I. Will...
