Body
WHEREAS, the County owns a small triangle of unused land measuring 3,366 square feet located in Blue Summit, between Blue Ridge Boulevard and Stark Avenue adjacent to the Inter-City Fire Protection District (Fire District) property; and,
WHEREAS, the Fire District has requested the conveyance of the above-described property to the Fire District for the benefit of the general public; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works recommends the conveyance of 3,366 square feet of County property, which is an uneconomic remnant left over from a road realignment project, in favor of the Inter-City Fire Protection District; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Special Warranty Deed and any other related documents necessary to convey the above-described property to the Inter-City Fire Protection District, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
