Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 14849, dated December 15, 2003, the County entered into an Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement with the City of Kansas City whereby the County would provide funding for the City's Domestic Violence Victim Assistance program; and,

WHEREAS, the parties now desires to amend the contract amount by reducing the sum to be paid from $73,661.00 to $54,266.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,

WHEREAS, this Agreement is in the best interest of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of the County; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute such Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement with the City of Kansas City, Missouri, at a total cost to the County not to exceed $54,266.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
