Body
WHEREAS, Southwest Early College Prep High School freshman Benjamin Christopher Pudenz has successfully completed all requirements to attain Scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout, and will be recognized on November 8, 2009, at 12:30 p.m., at Holy Rosary Catholic Church; and,
WHEREAS, Ben began scouting as a Cub Scout and Weblos Scout in Pack 80, and earned the Arrow of Light; and,
WHEREAS, Ben is currently a member of Troop 80 and has held leadership positions of Patrol Leader and Senior Patrol Leader; and,
WHEREAS, Ben is an avid chess player, and placed 9th in the State of Missouri Chess Competition for his age group; and,
WHEREAS, for his Eagle Scout project, Ben benefitted the St. Anthony's Pre-School Classrooms; and,
WHEREAS, Ben is a "Warrior" in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say Boy Scout Honor Program, his tribal name is "Checkered Eagle," he has attended camp at H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation for the past five years, and he has earned a total of 29 merit badges; and,
WHEREAS, Ben's parents, Karla and Jay, and his siblings, Ashley, Christina and Matthew, join in Ben's celebration of this honor; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Benjamin Christopher Pudenz upon successfully completing all requirements to attain Scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout, and extends well-deserved recognition for his contributions to the Jackson County community.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
