Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 13216, dated May 15, 2000, the Legislature did authorize contracts with certain municipalities within the County for the purpose of funding their 1999-2000 Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) or similar anti-drug programs, at a total aggregate cost to the County not to exceed $1,144,180.80; and,
WHEREAS, one of the contracts approved by Resolution 13216 was with the City of Grain Valley, in the amount of $20,373.00; and,
WHEREAS, the actual amount of this contract recommended by the ad hoc municipal police department committee and the COMBAT Commission is $10,187.00, and the earlier figure was transmitted in error; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached contract with the City of Grain Valley, in the actual amount of $10,187.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that that portion of Resolution 13216 which authorized a contract with the City of Grain Valley be and hereby is rescinded.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
