BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE, a tract of land described as follows:
Description:

The 5± acres are approximately one quarter of a mile south of Herring Road on the east side of Harris Road and specifically described as all that part of the north half of Lot 2, on the northwest quarter of Section 19, Township 47, Range 30, Jackson County, Missouri, more particularly described as:

Description: Commencing at the northwest corner of said Section 19 and said Lot 2; thence south 89?38'27" east, along the north line of said section, 40.03 feet; thence south 02?38'40" west, 1079.73 feet, along the east line of Harris Road, to the true point of beginning; thence south 89?38'27" east, 914.28 feet; thence continuing south 02?47'24" west, 238.50 feet; thence north 89?38'27" west, along said south line, 913.67 feet; to a point on the east right of way line of Harris Road, thence north 02?38'40" east, 238.48 feet, to the point of beginning, containing 5.00 acres.


Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Michael Walker (RZ-2008-460), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended approval of this application in a public hearing on November 20, 2008, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson Co...
