Body
WHEREAS, the Homelessness Task Force was established by the City of Kansas City, Missouri through Resolution 090788 to develop a plan to address the issues associated with homelessness in the Kansas City metropolitan area; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to the Intergovernmental Memorandum of Understanding, the County will appoint five representatives to work with the Task Force to develop and implement a collaborative strategy for governmental entities, private businesses and the community; and,

WHEREAS, the attached Intergovernmental Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Kansas City adequately sets out the rights and obligations of the parties with regard to this arrangement, at no cost to the County; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Execute be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Intergovernmental Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Kansas City.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
