Body
WHEREAS, KC Unidos Federal Credit Union was founded on March 1, 1941, as the KC Terminal Employees Credit Union, originally established to serve employees of the KC Terminal Railroad Company; and,

WHEREAS, for 85 years, KC Unidos Federal Credit Union has proudly served generations of families and individuals by providing access to financial services, resources and opportunities that strengthen communities and promote economic stability; and,

WHEREAS, in 2022, the organization became KC Unidos Federal Credit Union, reflecting its continued commitment to unity, inclusion and service to the diverse communities throughout the region; and,

WHEREAS, in 2024, KC Unidos Federal Credit Union expanded its field of membership to the entire State of Missouri through its partnership with the Missouri Consumer Council, allowing even more Missourians to access its financial services and community-focused mission; and,

WHEREAS, although deeply rooted in and committed to the Hispanic/Latino community, KC Unidos Federal Credit Union proudly serves anyone who lives or works anywhere in Missouri, demonstrating its commitment to financial inclusion and opportunity for all; and,

WHEREAS, KC Unidos Federal Credit Union has made it its mission to serve the unbanked, underbanked and hard-to-serve communities of color, providing an alternative to traditional financial institutions and helping individuals and families achieve greater financial security and independence; and,

WHEREAS, the organization’s 85-year history represents a remarkable legacy of perseverance, community service, financial empowerment and dedication to those who have historically faced barriers to accessing traditional banking services; and,
