A RESOLUTION accepting a right-of-way and temporary construction easement and authorizing payment to the property owners, Monty D. and Gina M. Hilton, in the actual amount of $76,760.00, in connection with the Woods Chapel Road Improvement Project, No. 2293.

Body
WHEREAS, the County has a need for a right-of-way and temporary construction easement in connection with the Woods Chapel Road Improvements Project, No. 2293; and,
WHEREAS, the owners of the necessary property, Monty D. and Gina M. Hilton, have agreed to convey to the County the requested right-of-way and easement, copies of which are attached hereto, for payment of the sum of $76,760.00, as itemized below;
$20,602 Right of Way
$ 2,138 Temporary Construction Easement
$ 8,000 Landscaping
$10,020 Fencing
$36,000 Damages
$76,760 TOTAL
and,
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Public Works recommends acceptance of the right-of-way and easement upon the specified terms; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the attached right-of-way and temporary construction easement, be and hereby are accepted and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is directed to issue a lump sum payment in the amount of $76,760.00 to Monty D. and Gina M. Hilton, in consideration for said right-of-way and easement, pursuant to the specific direction of the Director of the Department of Public Works.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
