RESOLUTION #10901, July 10, 1995 INTRODUCED BY Dennis Waits and Victor E. Callahan, County Legislators Body WHEREAS, Jackson County and Independence Square Redevelopment Group, a Partnership, as Lessor, pre iously entered into a Lease Agreement on August 13, 1991, pursuant to Resolution 8745 of the Jacks n County Legislature, for the lease by County from Lessor of 7,000 square feet on the first floor f the building known as the Bundschu Building, located at 103 North Main, Independence, Missouri, 4050; and,
WHEREAS, the original agreement provided for an initial term of five (5) years, commencing Novembe 1, 1991 and concluding October 31, 1996, with options in County to extend thereafter, based upon aid original term; and,
WHEREAS, during 1994 County cooperated with Lessor in its making of various modifications to the p emises to accommodate Lessor's use of other portions thereof, excusing interruptions in service, l ss than quiet enjoyment of the premises, and giving up some space and convenience; and,
WHEREAS, Lessor, to induce County's said cooperation, has agreed to extend the original term of sa d lease for one (1) year, at a cost to the County of $4,759.26, which is to partially reimburse Le sor for improvements made to County's leased space during the modifications; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is, authorized to execute for the County the attached Addendum to the Lease with Indep ndence Square Redevelopment Group; and,
