Body
WHEREAS, Guadalupe Center, Inc.'s "El Otro Camino" program is designed to provide substance abuse treatment services for high risk youth ages 13 through 21; and,
WHEREAS, Guadalupe Center, Inc., has received a grant from the Heart of America United Way for this program, in the amount of $28,053.00; and,
WHEREAS, this grant is subject to a local match; and,
WHEREAS, Guadalupe has requested local matching funds from the Anti-Drug Sales Tax Grant Match account in the amount of $20,000.00 for this program; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this proposal and recommends the expenditure of these funds; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute an Agreement with the Guadalupe Center, Inc., in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is hereby authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
