Body
WHEREAS, Jackson County and the City of Independence have an agreement to apply County road and bridge funds that are due to the City of Independence, under the County Urban Road System (CURS) program to road and bridge projects within the City of general County interest and benefit; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Independence by its Resolution 5060, dated March 15, 2004, has amended its prioritization of its road and bridge projects by adding R. D. Mize Road as an Independence CURS priority; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works concurs with the addition of this new project; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby concurs with the Independence City Council in the adoption of R. D. Mize Road as a new CURS priority.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
