A RESOLUTION declaring certain communications equipment as surplus personal property  and authorizing its disposal by way of salvage.

INTRODUCED BY John Patrick Burnett, County Legislator 
 
Body 
WHEREAS, the County has certain Focus 50 telephone system equipment, itemized on the attached documentation, that has become excess property; and,
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Purchasing Director has declared this property as surplus; and,
WHEREAS, an extensive search to locate a buyer for the system has been unsuccessful;  therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the   communications equipment itemized in the attached documentation be and hereby is declared  surplus; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Purchasing is hereby authorized to dispose of the equipment by way of salvage.

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
