Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has solicited bids pursuant to Electronic Solicitation No. BB200742 for the furnishing of holiday lighting supplies for use by the Parks and Recreation Department; and,

WHEREAS, a total of twenty (20) solicitations were distributed and two (2) responses were received as follows:
BIDDERS TOTAL BID OF LIKE ITEMS

American Lighting $5,543.00
Denver, CO

Sival, Inc. $9,303.40
Santa Clara, CA

and,

WHEREAS, the Director has recommended that award be made to American Lighting of Denver, CO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; and,

WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.
