Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 3567, dated November 8, 2004, the Legislature did authorize
the County to provide a program named "Night Lights-Sentenced to the Arts" that was partially funded by a grant from the Missouri Department of Public Safety; and,

WHEREAS, this ordinance also authorized the County Executive to execute an agreement with Pan Educational Institute (PEI) for oversight and implementation of the program; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney's office now recommends a transfer of $52,304.00 from within the 2005 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund to the 2004-2005 Night Lights-Sentenced to the Arts Grant to cover the increased cost of additional funding for education and therapeutic services and the purchase of more novelty items for project events through a First Addendum to Agreement with Pan Educational Institute; and,

WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Public Safety has authorized the changes in the proposed use of any grant funds; and,

WHEREAS, the total cost of this transfer and appropriation is $52,304.00; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be and hereby is made:
