Body
WHEREAS, the Legislature has determined that it is in the County's best interest to retain an experienced public liaison to advocate the Legislature's positions on various matters during the 2007 regular session of the Missouri General Assembly, to work with the Legislature in conjunction with the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority, particularly regarding proper funding of the sports complex leases, and to perform such other duties as may be directed by the Legislature's Intergovernmental Affairs Committee; and,
WHEREAS, W. T. Dawson is experienced and fully capable of performing said duties; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Consulting Agreement sets out the rights and obligations of the parties; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Chairman of the Legislature be and is authorized to execute the attached Consulting Agreement with W. T. Dawson; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing be and is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
