Body
WHEREAS, Steve Roland has faithfully served Jackson County for more than three decades, most recently as the Support Center Administrator for the Information Technology Department; and,
WHEREAS, Steve began his career with Jackson County’s Information Technology Department in August of 1993 as a third-shift mainframe Computer Operator, quickly demonstrating both his passion for technology and a strong commitment to the County’s success; and,
WHEREAS, through steadfast dedication and exceptional performance, Steve advanced through multiple roles within the IT Department, including Helpdesk Specialist and
Network Support Technician, ultimately earning the position of Support Center Administrator; and,
WHEREAS, throughout his distinguished tenure, Steve has been a model of customer service, known for his unwavering determination, his readiness to “basically get stuff done,” and his ability to create a supportive, solution-driven environment for colleagues across Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, Steve’s outstanding service has been recognized repeatedly, earning him the honor of Employee of the Month twice and Employee of the Year once, reflecting his significant contributions to the County’s operations and workplace culture; and,
WHEREAS, Steve’s leadership has extended beyond his own responsibilities,
including the supervision and mentorship of a Network Technician who went on to receive a PERD award, further evidence of his commitment to fostering growth and excellence among fellow associates; and,
