Title
A RESOLUTION transferring $417,851.00 within the 2020 CARES Act Fund for use by the Central Jackson County and Raytown Fire Protection Districts to acquire critical supplies and equipment necessary in connection with the fight against the ongoing Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic and authorizing the County Executive to execute addenda to the existing Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreements with the agencies, at an actual cost to the County in an amount not to exceed $417,851.00.

Body
WHEREAS, U.S. President Donald J. Trump, Missouri Governor Mike Parson, and County Executive Frank White, Jr., have all declared, in one form or another, the ongoing Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic to be a public health emergency; and,
WHEREAS, the County, through its various efforts, plays a significant role in the public health of its citizens; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriate response by the County to this emergency will require significant expenditures from the County CARES Act Fund, which consists of monies provided by the U.S. Treasury for this purpose; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 20447, dated June 22, 2020, the Legislature authorized an Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement with the Raytown Fire Protection District to provide for payment of certain of the District's COVID-19 related expenses, at a cost to the County not to exceed $100,000; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 20445, dated June 17, 2020, the Legislature authorized an Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement with the Central Jackson County Protection District to provide for payment of certain of the District's COVID-19 related expenses, at a cost to the County not to exceed $94,934.00; and,
