Body
WHEREAS, the Administration has a desire to prepare the top three floors of the downtown courthouse for usage as office space; and,
WHEREAS, certain surplus property that has become unusable is stored in these areas, further described and itemized on the list attached hereto marked as Exhibit A, that must be cleared out to allow for the future office space usage; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that said surplus property be declared unusable and sold at auction; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 16012, dated September 11, 2006, the County Legislature did approve a term and supply contract with Affiliated Auctioneers for auctioneer services for use countywide; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the surplus property further described and itemized in Exhibit A, be and hereby is declared unusable, and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to dispose of it by auction pursuant to Chapter 11, Jackson County Code, 1984.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
