Body
WHEREAS, the County recognizes its statutory obligation to the poor under Sections 205.580 et seq., RSMo; and,
WHEREAS, the County and the Visiting Nurses Association Home Health Care Services of Greater Kansas City desire to enter into an agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, whereby the Association will provide maternal and child health care visits to the homes of indigent county residents; and,
WHEREAS, the cost to the County under this agreement is $65,000.00, to be paid in quarterly payments of $16,250.00; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the County, and that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the contract.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
