Body
WHEREAS, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 26-001 for the furnishing of construction services for exterior improvements to the Jackson County Courthouse for use by the Public Works Department; and,
WHEREAS, notifications were distributed and one response was received and evaluated from Rand Construction Corporation of Kansas City, MO; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing and the Director of Public Works recommend the award for the furnishing of construction services for exterior improvements to Rand Construction Corporation of Kansas City, MO under the terms and conditions of RFP No. 26-001, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best proposal, which is estimated for 2026 to be $8,200,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, an evaluation committee reviewed the proposal submitted on the basis of qualifications, experience, references, and pricing and recommends the award of a contract to Rand Construction Corporation of Kansas City, MO; and,
WHEREAS, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of the contract to Rand Construction Corporation, under the terms and conditions of RFP No. 26-001, for the reason that it has submitted the best proposal; now therefore,
