Body
WHEREAS, Jackson County and Johnson County, Missouri, jointly share responsibility for the maintenance of a bridge on County Line Road known as Bridge 3160010; and,
WHEREAS, this bridge is in need of replacement and Jackson and Johnson Counties have determined that it is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of both counties that they both cooperate in this replacement effort; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Cooperative Agreement provides a suitable mechanism by which the bridge replacement can be effected; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the attached agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement. Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
