Body
WHEREAS, Kirt Mosier began teaching orchestra for the Raytown C-2 School District eighteen years ago, currently directs the orchestras at Lee's Summit High School and Pleasant Lea Junior High School, and further shares his talent with the community as the Worship Director at Deerbrook Covenant Church; and,

WHEREAS, Mr. Mosier earned a BME and a Masters of Music in composition from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, is an adjunct professor for the University of Missouri-Kansas City where he teaches arranging for music education and masters degrees candidates, and a former adjunct professor for Baker University where he taught music history; and,

WHEREAS, Mr. Mosier is a former Orchestra Vice President for the Kansas City Metro District No. 3 of the Missouri Music Educators Association, former Missouri state representative for the National School Orchestra Association, and former Missouri state coordinator for the National High School Honors Orchestra; and,

WHEREAS, Mr. Mosier and his groups have consistently been recognized for their excellence by receiving the highest honor ratings and performing throughout the United States; and,

WHEREAS, Mr. Mosier has written more than 150 works for orchestra and 200 to 300 pieces for the praise band at Deerbrook Covenant Church and has most recently written the 2004 commissioned work Out of Adullam for the Missouri All State Orchestra; and,

WHEREAS, in his spare time, Mr. Mosier enjoys spending physically active family time with wife Lori and children Brooks, Trent, Madi and Quinn; and,
