WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written responses under Request for Qualifications No. 15-07 for the furnishing of correctional healthcare services for the use and benefit of the Jackson County Department of Corrections; and,

WHEREAS, four (4) responses from correctional healthcare providers were received, as follows:

WHEREAS, correctional healthcare services are required to be furnished to inmates pursuant to Chapter 221, RSMo, and $2,047,292.00 was appropriated to Truman Medical Center for these services in 2007; and,

WHEREAS, after review by the Department of Corrections, the Director of Corrections has recommended that award be made to Advanced Correctional Healthcare for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best proposal with cost-savings opportunities for the County; and
