Body
WHEREAS, the City of Lee's Summit, MO, is widening Strother Road from I-470 west to Lee's Summit Road; and,
WHEREAS, the alignment of the new road crosses through County property at the Hilltop Home and the City of Lee's Summit requests the conveyance of the affected County property for this road project; and,
WHEREAS, these improvements to Strother Road are in the best interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Public Works recommends execution of the right-of-way and easements upon the specified terms; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Right-of-Way, Permanent Drainage Easement, and Temporary Construction Easement, and any other related documents necessary to convey the specified property to the City of Lee's Summit, MO, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
