Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 52-95 for the furnishing of mowers for use by the Parks and Recreation Department at the Longview Golf Course; and,

WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends that the contract be divided and awarded to the vendors submitting the lowest bid for each item; and,

WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in the actual amounts for the respective vendors as follows:
VENDOR AWARD

Mid-America Industrial Kansas City (Jackson County), MO $36,776.00

Modern Distributing Co. Kansas City (Jackson County), MO $16,360.00

and,

WHEREAS, the acquisition of these new mowers has rendered four existing mowers, two 1985 Toro 350-D model no. 03605, serial nos. 50237 and 50236, and two 1985 Ransome 180 model TR-11B serial nos. 4259 and 4260, as surplus property; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to
1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director has requested that he be authorized to dispose of these mowers by way of trade-in; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
