WHEREAS, an appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 1996 Grant Fund is necessary to cover the funding received from the Missouri Department of Conservation for the purchase and installation of marine sewage removal equipment at the marinas at Longview Lake, Blue Springs Lake, and Lake Jacomo, and the transfer of matching funds; and,

WHEREAS, the purchase and installation of this equipment at the three marinas will result in improved water quality of the lakes; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made from the unappropriated surplus of the 1996 Grant Fund:
