RESOLUTION NO. 21724, September 16, 2024

INTRODUCED BY Venessa Huskey, County Legislator

Body
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office has a need for a new van to replace aged and obsolete equipment for transporting between secured locations; and,

WHEREAS, the Director and Finance and Purchasing and the Sheriff's Office recommend the award of the contract for purchase to MCMFO, LLC d/b/a Joe Machens Ford Lincoln of Columbia, MO, under the terms and conditions of State of Missouri Contract No. CC240138008, an existing competitively bid government contract, at an actual cost to the County in the amount of $57,540.00; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.4, Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director Finance and Purchasing recommend the award under the existing competitively bid government contract for the reason that this will allow the County to take advantage of significant discounts offered to larger entities; now therefore,



BE IT RESOLVED that award be made under the existing competitively bid government contract as recommended by the Director and Finance and Purchasing and the Sheriff's Office and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
