Body
WHEREAS, it was with great sorrow that family and friends learned of the death of Rosalie Strada; and,
WHEREAS, Rosalie Strada was a longtime resident of Columbus Park in the Northeast neighborhood of Kansas City and a strong activist for that area; and,
WHEREAS, Rosalie became active in neighborhood matters in the 1970's after raising her family; and,
WHEREAS, she helped form the Columbus Park Community Council and the Columbus Park Adult Services group, and worked with the Holy Rosary Credit Union, the Mid-America Regional Council, and the Mayor's Neighborhood Advisory Council; and,
WHEREAS, Rosalie performed countless hours of community service, including volunteer work for the Don Bosco senior citizens center; and,
WHEREAS, Rosalie was known for her devotion and passion for helping those in need, especially those in the area where she lived; and,
WHEREAS, Rosalie was survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Samuel and Judy Strada, and John and Antoinette Strada; and,
WHEREAS, Rosalie will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby extends its deepest sympathy to family and friends of Rosalie M. Strada, upon the occasion of her death.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
