Body
WHEREAS, Hope Care Center's Mental Health/Substance Treatment program is a drug treatment program which provides counseling, psychiatric treatment, referral, support and transportation to programs for rehabilitation and meetings to residents not covered by Medicaid; and,
WHEREAS, Hope Care Center has received a private grant from the William T. Kemper Foundation in the amount of $5,000.00 for this program; and,
WHEREAS, Hope Care Center has requested anti-drug sales tax matching funds in the amount of $5,000.00 for this program; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this request and recommends matching funding in the amount of $5,000.00 from his grant match account; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the attached Agreement with Hope Care Center; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is hereby authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
