Body
WHEREAS, sincerest congratulations go out to Gene and June Martin for their fifty years of marriage together; and,

WHEREAS, on June 4, 1950, Gene and June were married in Carrollton, Missouri; and,

WHEREAS, they established their home in south Kansas City where they have maintained their residence; and,

WHEREAS, Gene served 19 years as a Jackson County, circuit judge, having retired in 1996; and,

WHEREAS, Gene and June have been blessed with two sons David and Kevin, and four wonderful granddaughters, Rachel, Sarah, Emily, and Leslie; and,

WHEREAS, in celebration of their fiftieth anniversary, Gene and June renewed their vows at the Hickman Mills Community Christian Church and are sharing their love of travel by taking their family on an Alaskan cruise; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Gene and June Martin on the occasion of their fiftieth wedding anniversary, and wishes them many more wonderful years together.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
