Body
WHEREAS, Drexel Mack, a process server for the 16th Judicial Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri, was tragically killed while serving a writ of possession at a home in Independence, Missouri on February 29, 2024; and,

WHEREAS, Drexel will forever be remembered by those whose lives he touched as an amazing man, a great father, brother, friend, and co-worker; and,

WHEREAS, Drexel, his younger sister Carmon Mack, and older sister Helen Lightbourne grew up in the Bahama Islands and moved to the United States as children, coming to love Kansas City; and,

WHEREAS, Drexel's talent and kindness were evident to all who knew him, with memories of his gifted voice in the U.S. Navy Choir and his compassionate nature as a corrections officer and civil process server in both Florida and the Kansas City area; and,

WHEREAS, Drexel was a 12-year employee of the 16th Judicial Circuit Court, where he handled the court's most time sensitive and important documents and is remembered as a hard worker who went above and beyond to assist his co-workers to carry out the demands of his job in the Civil Process Division of the court; and,
WHEREAS, over his career Drexel was named the top employee and received glowing reviews from his coworkers; and,

WHEREAS, in addition to his sisters, Drexel leaves behind a 19-year-old son, Drexel Mack Jr., who lives in Miami, Florida, his fianc?, Janelle Ruffin, who has three children, and numerous nieces, nephews, and many extended family members; now therefore,
