Body
WHEREAS, in 1993, Jackson County, Missouri, was declared a disaster area due to flooding and was determined eligible for federal and state funds for public assistance; and,
WHEREAS, in order to qualify for public assistance, State Emergency Management Agency Form PA-1 was to be completed and an individual was to be named as authorized representative; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 9882 dated August 23, 1993, the Director of Public Works was designated as the County's authorized representative; and
WHEREAS, a new Director of Public Works has been appointed and it is appropriate that the new Director of Public Works be designated the County's authorized representative; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the current Director of Public Works be appointed the authorized representative to receive funds on behalf of Jackson County for public assistance for the 1993 flood disaster.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of he Legislature.
