Body
WHEREAS, Carl W. Bussey served on the Jackson County Legislature from October 14, 1996 through December 31, 1998, representing the 2nd District; and,
WHEREAS, during his tenure on the Legislature, Mr. Bussey served as a committee member on the Public Works Committee in 1998 and Anti-Drug and Finance and Audit Committees in 1997 and 1998; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Bussey also served as Chair of the Housing Resource Commission for two years; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Bussey was instrumental in obtaining funding for service agencies throughout the Jackson County area; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Bussey instituted a policy of availability, not only for the 2nd district citizens, but for all Jackson County citizens; and
WHEREAS Mr. Bussey revived a spirit of compromise and cooperation for the betterment of Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, due to his personal commitment to the citizens of the 2nd District, Mr. Bussey deserves a high degree of praise and recognition; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature recognizes and commends Carl W. Bussey for his two years of outstanding service on the Jackson County Legislature...Fiscal Note
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
