Body
WHEREAS, since 2023 the County Counselor has contracted with Hardwick Law Firm of Kansas City, MO, to provide legal services and representation to Jackson County related to contractual relationships with local professional sports teams; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 21388, dated August 28, 2023, the Legislature did authorize a contract through September 10, 2024; and,
WHEREAS, the County Counselor now requests an addendum to this contract to increase the amount authorized, at a cost to the County not to exceed $495,454.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Counselor be and hereby is authorized to execute an addendum to the Legal Services Agreement with Hardwick Law Firm of Kansas City, MO, for a term still ending September 10, 2024, at an additional cost to the County not to exceed $495,454.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make any and all payments required by the Agreement and all addenda thereto.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
