Body
WHEREAS, the City of Independence, Missouri, is planning to relocate and renovate Maywood Road adjacent to the County's Hill Park to serve a subdivision in Independence; and,
WHEREAS, in connection with this project, the City of Independence has requested certain easements through property along Maywood Road, including Hill Park, to the proposed subdivision; and,
WHEREAS, the easements requested, which are described in the attached Agreement, are a temporary sanitary sewer easement and a permanent easement; and,
WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and the Director of Parks and Recreation Department have reviewed the easement request and have no objections; and,
WHEREAS, the City will pay the County $3,196.25 for these easements; and,
WHEREAS, the granting of these easements is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Agreement with the City of Independence, Missouri.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
