A RESOLUTION transferring $16,000.00 within the 1995 General Fund and authorizing an increase to the contract with Lenz Machinery Company of Kansas City, MO, for the maintenance of laundry equipment for use by the Department of Corrections in the estimated amount of $16,000.00 and extending the contract for a period of 12 months.

Body
WHEREAS, the County did, by Resolution #9463, dated November 2, 1992, enter into a contract with Lenz Machinery Co., Inc., of Kansas City, MO, in the estimated amount of $15,518.00 for the maintenance of laundry equipment for use by the Department of Corrections; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed increase and extension to this contract is necessary to keep the laundry equipment operational for future years, and this increase will not exceed $16,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer within the 1995 General Fund is necessary to cover this maintenance; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive has recommended said transfer; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be made within the 1995 General Fund:

and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the increase and extension to the aforesaid contract is approved and the Director of Purchasing is authorized to execute the necessary documents on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
