Body
WHEREAS, the Family Court Division has been awarded a grant by State of Missouri, Division of Youth Services in the amount of $185,600.00 for the Juvenile Court Diversion Program for the period of July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027; and,
WHEREAS, the grant funds will be used to fund community-based services to assist in diverting youth from commitment to the Division of Youth Services; and,
WHEREAS, the grant does not require local matching funds; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary in order to place the grant funds in the proper spending accounts; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the undesignated fund balance of the 2026 Grant Fund:
