Body
WHEREAS, the Stormwater Commission has proposed that all cities within Jackson County provide funding equal to $1,000.00 per square mile within the corporate limits to create a funding mechanism to be used by the Stormwater Commission to fund stormwater projects throughout the County; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Sugar Creek has provided such funds; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Memorandum of Understanding with the City adequately sets out the rights and obligations of the parties with regard to this arrangement; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the grant from the City of Sugar Creek be and hereby is accepted; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Execute be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Memorandum of Understanding.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
