Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 2836., Jackson County Code, 1984, the City of Blue Springs, MO, has requested the use of its County Urban Road System (CURS) funds in the amount of $332,548.00 to cover the cost of two road projects within the city, Duncan Road, M-7 to Deer Run, and Adams Dairy Parkway, I-70 to 40 Highway; and,
WHEREAS, each of these projects is a part of the CURS road system; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works recommends approval of the request; and,
WHEREAS, the Legislature finds that the various road projects by the City will benefit the citizens of Blue Springs and the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that, pursuant to Chapter 28, Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to issue a check in the amount of $332,548.00 as a lump-sum payment to the City of Blue Springs for use by the City on various road projects.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
