Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 121-98 for the furnishing of water treatment services for use by the Facilities Management and Public Works Departments to provide for their needs for the upcoming one-year period; and,

WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon bids from the following:
VENDOR BID

Ecolab $1,860.00 per year
St. Paul, MN

Chemical Solution $2,280.00 per year
Olathe, KS

Ashland Chemical $13,865.72 per year
Kansas City, KS

and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Ecolab of St. Paul, MN, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid, as set out in the attached recapitulation; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
