AN ORDINANCE appropriating $7,260.00 from the undesignated fund balance of the 2020 Health Fund to reimburse the City of Independence for unbudgeted plumbing repairs performed by the City at the animal shelter.

Body
 WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance 5230, dated May 20, 2019, the County did enter into an Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement whereunder the County agreed to pay the City of Independence the annual sum of $100,000.00 to operate the Regional Animal Shelter; and,
WHEREAS, under that Agreement the County retains the responsibility for the repair and maintenance of the shelter's physical plant; and,
WHEREAS, the shelter had plumbing repairs completed by the City that were not included in the 2020 Jackson County facilities budget and are the responsibility of the County; and,
WHEREAS, these repairs were necessary to meet Missouri state facility inspection guidelines; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary in order to place the funds required to reimburse the City for these repairs in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made:
