WHEREAS, the County Counselor recommends that he be authorized to execute a Legal Services Agreement and Addendums to existing Legal Services Agreements with certain lawyers and law firms to provide legal services to the County in certain new and ongoing matters; and,

WHEREAS, the Lawyers and law firm for which Agreements and Addendums are recommended, the services to be provided, and not to exceed amounts for services to be performed in 2026, are as follows:

now therefore,


BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Counselor be and hereby is authorized to execute a Legal Services Agreement and Addendums to the existing Legal Services Agreements with the lawyers and/or law firms identified in this Resolution, for a term ending December 31, 2026, at an aggregate cost to the County not exceed $275,000.00; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payments, on the Agreement and Addendums.
