Body
WHEREAS, the Chairman of the Sports Complex Authority has notified the Purchasing Director that, due to the turf and outfield wall replacement project at Royals Stadium, the old padded outf eld wall panels have become surplus; and
WHEREAS, by Bid No. 137-94, the Purchasing Director solicited bids for the sale of these items, but received no responses; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation has advised that she has no use for these items; and
WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City, Missouri, has requested the donation of these items to be used at Satchel Paige Stadium, the Zoo, and various community centers; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County that the padded outfield wall panels be declared surplus and donated to the City of Kansas City; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the padded outfield wall panels be and hereby are declared surplus and that the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to take all steps necessary to effect their donation to the City of Kansas City, Missou i.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of he Legislature.
