Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 18067, dated January 28, 2013, the Legislature did authorize the acquisition of a parking garage located at 505 E. 14th Street, Kansas City, Missouri, for use by employees at the Downtown Kansas City Courthouse location; and,
WHEREAS, upon the purchase of this parking facility, the County canceled its contract for the lease of parking space for use by employees; and,
WHEREAS, the canceled contract resulted in $71,000.00 in encumbered funds to be returned to the undesignated fund balance; and,
WHEREAS, these funds will be used for repairs and lighting enhancements to the parking facility; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the needed funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the undesignated fund balance of the 2014 General Fund:
