Body
WHEREAS, the County has a continuing need for weekend inmate housing for use by the Department of Corrections; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1030.1 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has determined that the services to be purchased can be obtained from only one source in the Kansas City area; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Corrections recommends the award to Kansas City Community Center of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made to Kansas City Community Center as a sole source purchase, and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the contract.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
