Body
WHEREAS, Jered Maxon has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout; and,
WHEREAS, Jered, the son of Mary Peterson, has been a scout for eleven (11) years and belongs to Troop 206 of Independence, Missouri, led by Scoutmaster Richard Hendren; and,
WHEREAS, in recognition of his high achievement, Jered will be recognized at an Eagle Scout Court of Honor on May 15, 2005 at Saint Mark's United Methodist Church; and,
WHEREAS, Jered has received a total of twenty-nine (29) merit badges and has held the leadership positions of Quarter Master, Assistant Patrol Leader, and Patrol Leader; and,
WHEREAS, Jered has earned the awards and special honors of Tribe of Mic-O-Say, Arrow of Light, Tom Tom Beater, Fire Builder, Mile Swim, A+Program at Fort Osage High School, and Klondike Derby during his time as a scout; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Jered Maxon for his outstanding achievements upon becoming an Eagle Scout.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
