Body
WHEREAS, Media Tech Museum is a specialized institution that explores and showcases the history, development, design, and impact of various media technologies; and,

WHEREAS, their focus on the intersection of art, technology, and culture features exhibits, multimedia installations, and collections of artifacts related to different media formats; and,

WHEREAS, Media Tech Museum serves as an educational resource, cultural center, and space for experimentation and innovation; and,

WHEREAS, the Museum plays a vital role in fostering a deeper understanding of the advancement of technology and its influence on art, culture, and society; and,

WHEREAS, located in the Crossroads Arts District in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, Media Tech Museum is a space for exploring innovation, preserving history, and engaging audiences with the dynamic world of media and technology - both in personal and professional lives; and,

WHEREAS, in 2024 the concept for Media Tech Museum was conceived in Kansas City - a dedicated space to preserve and celebrate the devices that shaped media history; and,

WHEREAS, in 2025 the museum announced its home at 1600 Baltimore Ave in the Crossroads Arts District - Kansas City's thriving hub of art, culture, and creativity; and,

WHEREAS, in 2025 curation of communication devices began, spanning telegraphs, telephones, radios, phonographs, cameras, and multimedia installations; and,

WHEREAS, in 2026 Media Tech Museum is open and welcoming Kansas City - and visitors from around the world - to explore the dynamic history of media technology; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED that the Jackson County Legislature celebrates the opening of the Media Tech Museum and its future success.
