Body
WHEREAS, Section 141.750.2, RSMo 2000, authorizes the Trustees of the Land Trust of Jackson County to convey title in fee simple, for consideration less than two-thirds of the appraised value of a property, after the consent of at least two of the Trustees' appointing authorities; and,

WHEREAS, the Trustees have recommended that a lot located at 4032 Troost, the legal description being as follows:
Troost Highland N 33 1/3' of E 143' (except East 10' in Street)
of Lot 8 Blk 3


be conveyed to Kansas City Habitat for Humanity/Community LINK, without consideration to construct a playground for children residing at a battered women's shelter; and,

WHEREAS, Jackson County has undertaken and supports various projects to upgrade and improve the neighborhoods in the urban core, and because this parcel of land is a value to Jackson County and the City of Kansas City in that the project is likely to combat the occurrence of blight in the urban core; and
WHEREAS, Land Trust can only convey property for less than two-thirds of appraised value with the consent of two of the following: Jackson County, Kansas City School District and City of Kansas City; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Land Trust Trustees be allowed to convey the property described above for an amount less than two-thirds market value; and,
