Body
WHEREAS, it is necessary to replace the Tapscott Road bridge located over a branch of Sni-A-Bar Creek, as this bridge is eligible for replacement; and,
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Transportation has funds available for the purposes of replacing such bridge under its Off-System Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation Program and desires to participate in the project at up to 80 percent of the costs incurred by Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, these federal funds are distributed through the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Off-System Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation Program Agreement will secure the funding for replacement of the bridge; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the attached Agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement on behalf of the County.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
